Falcon 3.0 is a high-fidelity flight simulation based around the Block 40 General Dynamics F-16 Fighting Falcon.
The follow-up to the successful Falcon and Falcon AT games, Falcon 3.0 featured dynamic campaigns, development of the player's squadron's pilots, and explored fully the range of combat mission profiles of the F-16.
Additionally, it pushed the player's hardware, and even had a high-fidelity flight model that could only be activated if the user had a maths co-processor installed (not standard hardware until the 80486).
It was followed in 1998 by Falcon 4.0.

- Bosnia (with the Naval Strike Fighter expansion)
- Operation: Fighting Tiger: introduced the FSX (a modified F-16, with chin-mounted canards); anti-shipping mission profile; the Harpoon anti-shipping missile; rules of engagement; Kurile Islands and Pakistan campaigns; and a variety of new (non-flyable) aircraft.
- MiG-29: Deadly Adversary of Falcon 3.0: allowed the player to fly the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-29 "Fulcrum" in all the installed campaigns, except from the other side.
- Hornet: Naval Strike Fighter: allowed the player to fly the F/A-18 Hornet; added the Bosnia campaign theatre; added naval aviation operations.
A further expansion based around the A-10 Thunderbolt II was planned, and even advertised in later releases in the Falcon 3.0 series, but was never released.
